USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll: Boston College Will Face Three Ranked Opponents

The Eagles will face off against Florida State, Clemson and USC this season.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The first USA Today Coaches Poll was released today and it was no surprise that the defending champion Florida State Seminoles remain at the Top. Jimbo Fisher's program, who went 14-0 last year and defeated Auburn 34-31 in the final BCS Championship received 56 first place votes. Rounding off the Top 5 in order is the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners, Oregon Ducks and Auburn Tigers.

Boston College did not receive any votes (no big surprise) but has three future opponents in the Top 25. Of course the Eagles will be facing off against Florida State in Tallahassee, but they will also host the #15 USC Trojans and #16 Clemson Tigers at home. The only tther BC opponents to receive votes is Louisville who fell out of the Top 25 but still received 32 votes. The University of North Carolina is the other lone ACC school to crack the Top 25 at #23, along with part time member Notre Dame at #17.It was a little surprising to see that Duke, who won the Coastal Division last year, did not crack the Top 25 this season.
