Help the "Run to Home Base" Support Our Veterans

The annual Run to Home Base takes place on Saturday, July 19

Bob DeChiara-US PRESSWIRE

Hi BCI,

In a little over two weeks, I will be taking part in the annual Boston Red Sox/Mass General Hospital "Run To Home Base," a 9k-ish run through the streets of Boston ending at Fenway Park's home plate, with proceeds raised going to support the Home Base Program.

The program is a Mass. General Hospital initiative to provide treatment and support for returning veterans battling the invisible wounds of war, such as traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress disorder. Thousands of our returning veterans are facing these wounds every day, and programs like Home Base help them get the treatment they need.

I am proud to be running in this year's race, and I have a goal of raising $800 for the organization. If you can, please donate to my fundraising page here and help me and BC Interruption support our servicemen and women. I look forward to crossing the finish line in my Gaudreaubey Baker shirt.

Thank you for your support! If you have any questions about the Home Base program, feel free to contact me here or on Twitter - I'd love to tell you more about it. You can also check out the link above.
