Good morning, Happy Monday, and happy Bastille Day to our large readership in France. (#NousSommesBC)
We start with a recruiting story out of Ohio:

ACC When: July 19-20
Where: Greensboro, N.C.
Star Power: Florida State QB Jameis Winston, Clemson DE Vic Beasley, Miami RB Duke Johnson.
Quotable coaches: Clemson's Dabo Swinney, Florida State's Jimbo Fisher
Tough day for Daz, first he loses a recruit, then he's not a "quotable coach."
Salonen, Sweeting Earn ITA Academic Recognition - Boston College Official Athletic Site
Boston College women's tennis has earned 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic team recognition and two of its student-athletes - sophomores Heini Salonen (Helsinki, Finland) and Wan-Yi Sweeting (Singapore) - have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, according to an announcement made by the organization.
Gallagher: Draftee Demko seems destined for pro career - The Province
It may not be for a while yet, but rest assured he's in the plans given how highly he was selected, and you only have to know he roomed with Bo Horvat to figure out what they think of the big San Diego native, who battled his way to a likely pro hockey career from California as more and more kids are these days.
This was a pretty good read highlighting some of Demko's quirks and discussing his upbringing as a goalie.
And welcome aboard to the new team at Shakin' the Southland:
