Boston College Football: Get To Know The Dudes - #33, WR Jeff Jay

Today we examine another "dude, wide receiver Jeffrey Jay

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Jeffrey Jay

Position: Wide receiver

Number: #33

Year: Senior

Height: 6-foot-2

Weight: 190 lbs

Hometown: Greenwich CT

High School: Brunswick School

2013 Stats: Appeared in one game against UNC

2014 Projections: Even with wide receiver being a huge area of need, I can't imaging that Jeffrey Jay will crack the two deep at any point during the season. Over the past two years he has been mainly a scout team player, I would say the ceiling would be a special team starter this season.

How'd He Get Here: Jay was given a walk on scholarship prior to a 2012 spring practice.

Twitter Feed: Negative

Uniform History: The first Eagle to wear the number #33 was end John Kirke, who was also captain in 1917.  Before his son Connor committed to BC, Stephen Strachan wore #33 as a running back for the Eagles. Ron Perryman, a linebacker wore it before he courageously battled ALS that ended in 2011. In the early 80's Jim Bell wore it, a running back that ran for 1895 yards.  Omari Walker, a running back and captain for the Eagles on his way to running for 2,411 yards and 32 touchdowns in the late 90s. From 2000-2003, kicker Sandro Siortino wore it. Shares the number with linebacker Tim Joy.
