The ACC softball tournament starts today, with BC looking to extend what's been a pretty solid season with an upset win today over Notre Dame in the quarterfinals. The game begins at 5 PM and will air on "regional sports networks," which in New England generally means NESN or NESNPlus. It will also air on ESPN3.com.
This is Notre Dame's first appearance in the ACC softball tournament after coming over from the Big East. For the Eagles, it marks a return after several years in the doldrums.
The winner of the BC-Notre Dame game will advance to the conference semifinals against the winner of Syracuse and Virginia Tech, with the semifinal matchup being played tomorrow at 3:30 PM, on the same regional networks and ESPN3. No word on whether a BC/Cuse matchup would count for Retroactive Orange/Eagle Points.
