Good morning! For better or for worse, it looks like the college football media thinks more of BC going into this season than they did last year. Don't worry, though - once all the season previews actually come out I'm sure everyone will have us last in the division.
87. Steve Addazio and his rebuilding band of dudes. Last year, coach Addazio inherited a program that went 2-10 in 2012 and led it to a 7-6 record and a bowl berth. This year, his up-and-coming Eagles look to take the next step. Heisman Trophy finalist Andre Williams and quarterback Chase Rettig are gone, but plenty of raw talent remains. Among the headliners: wideout Spiffy Evans, running back Myles Willis and transfer quarterback Tyler Murphy.
I won't tell them about Spiffy leaving if you don't.
Ben Smith and the Chicago Blackhawks kept their season alive with a double OT win over the Kings last night. Ben Smith had the game tying goal in the third period:
Ready to feel old? Happy Five-Year Anniversary to the BC vs. Texas baseball marathon in 2009.
If you were there on May 30, 2009, it might seem that Texas' record 25-inning 3-2 NCAA Regional win over Boston College at Disch-Falk Field just finished up last week, not five years ago. A college baseball game that starts at 6:02 p.m. is supposed to end before the start of the local news, but it wasn't that kind of night game.
"Julia is a welcome addition to the BC family. Her combination of high level club experience with Rob Crispi at USANY along with significant playing time during her freshman year at UNLV give her the background to fit in well at BC," said Campbell. "She has the size and physical ability to compete in the ACC and we are looking forward to our first practice with her in the gym."
Yeah whatever guys we already scheduled Holy Cross quit copying us.
