Boston College Basketball A 500/1 Shot To Go The Distance In 2015

The NBA Draft declaration deadline has passed, the dust has settled on most coaching searches, and now that we know who's stayin' put and who's goin' where, the oddsmakers over at Bovada released the early odds for the 2014-15 NCAA men's hoops national championship. Boston College is as long a shot at as anyone to win the tourney, at a 500/1 clip.

Bovada doesn't point to a UCONN repeat as the Huskies received 66/1 odds. Kentucky is the early favorite at 5/1, followed by Duke (9/1) and Wisconsin (12/1). Jay Wright's Villanova Wildcats snuck into the top 10 at 25/1.

For comparison's sake, even BC's lone ACC punching bag in 2013-14, Virginia Tech - at 300/1 - got better odds than the Eagles.

I'm fine with that. Put me down for $1...which will yield a lifetime's supply of crow for me to gladly bathe in eat should Jim Christian lead Olivier Hanlan and Co. to the promised land.
