Boston College added their second recruit of the week, and again it's an athlete with local roots. Everett defensive back Lukas Denis has verbally committed to the Eagles according to the Boston Herald
Just Verbally committed to BC! couldn't have asked for a better family. #Eagles

As it is early in the recruiting process, most of the recruiting wires do not have Denis ranked yet, which isn't a surprise as most recruits who aren't "elite" don't have stars yet. The Everett native chose the Eagles over fellow Massachusetts schools UMass and Holy Cross. He visited BC a little over a week ago, and the recruiting wires had predicted his commitment was imminent.
Denis spoke on why he chose BC:
"I get to play in the ACC which is top competition and I can get a degree from of the best academic schools in the country," said Denis, who held offers from UMass and Holy Cross. "I can stay close to home so my mom can come watch all my games like she does now at Everett. Every time I go to visit there, I feel really comfortable - it's a happy environment."
Denis continues a long line of Everett cornerbacks who have have played for the Eagles including Jim Noel, Manny Asprilla and Isaac Johnson. Last year Crimson Tide DB Lubern Figaro was looking at the Eagles but chose Wisconsin in the end. Denis clock in at 6'0 175 lbs, and according to his recruiting page can run a 4.5 40.
