Good morning, everyone. Sort of a slow news day yesterday, leading up to a slow news week. That's how it's going to be at least until the NCAA hockey bracket comes out on Sunday. Oh well. To the news:
Demko focused on the job at hand as BC Eagles look to bounce back in NCAA tourney - Hockey's Future
Although the No. 1 Eagles were upset by No. 8 Notre Dame in the first round of the Hockey East Tournament, Demko and the Eagles will look to bounce back in the NCAA Tournament. Demko has been one of the best goalies in college hockey and has posted a 14-3-3 record, a 2.13 goals-against average, and a .921 save percentage along with two shutouts.
In contention teams’ tournament probabilities by outcome | Jim Dahl's College Hockey Ranked
The following conclusions are based on an exhaustive search of all possible remaining outcomes (about 3,145,728 of them). Any percentages given are not weighted by likelihood or team strength, but instead represent the share of remaining scenarios in which that outcome occurs.
I have said it for a few weeks: you need to be worried about Notre Dame if for no reason than this team last year won the CCHA tournament. This past weekend, the Irish shocked Boston College, 7-2, in game one. They then lost game two but rallied for a 4-2 victory in game three. If nothing more, you should believe in this Notre Dame team. If you're smart, you'll believe this Notre Dame team could become the first #8 seed to win the Hockey East tournament.

College Hockey News: Saint John GM: Eichel Will Evaluate After Under 18 Championships
While in the region, he reached out to Eichel's family via telephone and met with Eichel's family advisor, Peter Fish. "I had a great talk with the family," Young said. "His mom and I had a good discussion. They're a very nice family and great people. I was able to meet with Peter Fish and his partner, Peter Donatelli, and we also had a good discussion. We talked with both of them about what I feel the pros of Major Junior are."
Jack Eichel is projected to be either the #1 or #2 overall draft pick in 2015, and he's currently committed to Boston University. No commitment stops the haranguing from our neighbours to the nourth, though.
