The inaugural #Octofinals are complete, and as nobody could have possibly predicted^, the horrible 9th, 10th and 11th place teams lost to the pretty good 8th, 7th, and 6th place teams. It's almost like this whole week dedicated to the #Octofinals wasn't really worth anyone's time.*

So we are now set with an all-chalk, 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 bracket for the quarterfinals, meaning Your Boston College Eagles will take on Notre Dame in a conference quarterfinal series. That means at least one top-10 team nationally won't even advance to the conference semifinals at the Garden.
NESN has made Saturday's game 2 of the BC-ND series their televised game of the week, meaning the Eagles and Irish will have another televised 4 PM Saturday showdown. Let's hope this one goes better than the last one.
