National Signing Day: Defensive Tackle Oseh-Lie Saine Commits To BC

A late commitment hopes to solidify the defensive tackle position.

Oseh Lie-Saine

Hometown: Lincoln, RI
High School: Worcester Academy
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6-4
Weight: 265 lbs.
40: 4.6
Twitter: N/A

Highlights: Hudl

Rankings: Rivals NR, ESPN NR, 247Sports NR. Boston College was his only offer. Recruited by Ben Albert and Frank Leonard.

Strengths: Saine was a last minute commitment, with most recruiting sites saying that BC needed to see higher SAT scores before he was admitted. He is probably the most under the radar recruit in this class, with the Eagles being his only offer. Watching his film he looks very small, but according to reports he put on 20-30 pounds between his junior year (when the film was made) and his senior year.

Realistic Outlook: With the loss of Tevin Montgomery, BC was already very thin on the defensive line, and they went out and tried to address that with Noa Merritt and Saine. I'm glad to see Addazio and Don Brown address this need, because for a while it appeared the Eagles weren't doing much in terms of recruiting this position. Saine seems like he will be a project, that will need some time both in the training room and with the coaches. I don't expect to see him playing soon, maybe he will be ready in 2016.
