Florida State simply gets no respect. At least that is what a semi-typical Tallahassee resident would tell you.

We saw it this week with the College Football Playoff committee, and we see it in the vast majority of the computer polls, where the Noles are ranked #1 by only 21 of the 113 listed in the weekly Massey aggregate. 35 of those polls list FSU outside the top 10, while nearly half of those have them ranked in the 20s and believe it or not, several have them in the 30s...with the lowest being #32.

So, when I tell you that The Book lists the Seminoles at #11 this week and has them a full TD and successful PAT (remember those?) underdog in the ACC Championship game this week, perhaps it is not overly surprising. Their opponent, on the other hand, is #6!! Georgia Tech has been on a steady climb and is ranked in the top 10 of 19 of those same polls.

Personally, although everyone is jumping on the Tech wagon, I think FSU finds a way to win once again and moves into the college football playoff.

Other teams that the Book would have in there would then include #1 Oregon, #2 TCU, #3 Michigan State (yikes...how did that happen) and #4 Alabama. It is doubtful that even a big FSU win this week would be enough to vault them into the Book top 4.

BC on the other hand is riding high. The win over Syracuse lifted the Eagles to their highest ranking of the year, both in the ACC (#5) and the country (#41) as they await their bowl selection. The Book was on the right side of the SU game last week, lifting its record of picking BC games to 8-3 on the season.

Unfortunately, we weren't so lucky with the rest of the picks, struggling to a slightly below .500 week at 27-30-2 .475 with 2 the same as Vegas. This leaves us in fairly desperate straits heading into the last week of the regular season and the bowls at 312-325-9 .490 with 37 the same for the year.

With there being a limited slate of games this week, I have posted spreads for all of them as well as next week's Army-Navy game. The Book will return the week of December 15 with Bowl Selections.

Check out the polls and the spreads and of course, enjoy your Championship Saturday.

Go Eagles!
