Following Florida State's dramatic, narrow win over the University of Miami last night, ESPN announced the game time for next Saturday's Boston College-Florida State game in Tallahassee. The Eagles and the 'Noles will clash at 3:30, on ABC regionally and ESPN2 nationally.
I sort of expected the game to be an 8 PM primetime start on ABC following the win, but maybe there was some resistance at Mickey Mouse HQ to putting Florida State in the 8 PM slot 3 out of their last 4 games.
The Eagles have had three 3:30 starts this season, going 2-1 in those games: defeating Wake Forest and NC State on the road, and losing at home to Clemson. However, those three games were on the ACC Network/regional sports channels. This is the first time this year that BC will be in the ABC/ESPN2 slot.
As you all know and as will be repeated many times this week, the 10-0 Seminoles are two games away from completing their second consecutive undefeated regular season, and BC is one of the last teams who will have a chance at disrupting their plans to punch their ticket to the inaugural college football playoff.
