BC may be on a bye week, but there are plenty of intriguing matchups to look forward to this weekend, starting with #2 Oregon taking the field tonight against Arizona. To help you get settled in for a weekend of fubbaw, here's a list of games to watch over the next three days.
From a BC perspective, it should be most interesting to keep an eye on our next opponent, North Carolina State. Fresh off a competitive but ultimately disappointing game against #1 Florida State, the degree of difficulty for the Wolfpack remains high. They will take on Clemson in Death Valley on Saturday at 3:30. You can catch that game on ESPNU and get a good look at our next opponent. Can BC take advantage of two weeks to prep against a team coming off what will likely be a pair of physically draining games?
BC's next game after the Wake and Clemson games is a tilt against Wake Forest, a team that has struggled mightily this season. They're probably in for some more pain on Saturday when they face Florida State--also a 3:30 start Saturday on ABC. Virginia Tech-UNC is a game worth keeping an eye on, too: it's a 12:30 start on the ACC network, which I believe will be on NESN here in New England and ESPN3 nationally.
If, like me, you keep an eye on certain teams in hopes of getting some lulz, you can check out 0-5 UMass vs. 0-5 Miami in a huge clash Saturday at 2:30 on ESPN3. Also, Notre Dame hosts #14 Stanford in a game that could hopefully pop the ridiculous "ND 4 Playoff!!1" bubble at 3:30 on NBC. Sadly, UConn and Penn State are both off this week, though it's probably best for some not to watch Penn State, due to residual unease about recent events in Happy Valley.
