With a 17-13 victory over Boston College, Clemson jumps up two spots in the Coaches Poll (from 22nd to 20th) and three in the AP poll (from 24th to 21st).

This week's college football polls are out and the ACC continues to place just two teams in the two major polls (though Duke is knocking on the door). Florida State gained ground in both the Coaches' and AP poll this week, but couldn't top Mississippi State, which...did not see that coming. I thought for sure that Florida State's win over the vaunted Irish would propel them back into the top spot over the idle Bulldogs.

Don't worry though, Notre Dame fans. Despite falling out of the top 5 in both major polls this week (7th AP, 8th Coaches), you can be sure that that Dr. Lou College Football Playoff invite is in the mail.

With a 17-13 victory over Boston College, Clemson jumps up two spots in the Coaches' poll (from 22nd to 20th) and three in the AP poll (from 24th to 21st). Following a blowout victory over Colorado, USC (5-2, 4-1 Pac-12) moves up two spots in the AP poll (from 22nd to 20th) and four spots in the Coaches' poll (from 25th to 21st).

From the ACC, Duke (108 votes) and Louisville (4) received votes in the AP poll, while Duke (116 votes) was the only program to receive votes in the Coaches' poll. With a win over Utah State, Colorado State (6-1) received some love this week in both the AP (12 votes) and Coaches' (18) polls.
