New Era Pinstripe Bowl One Of Most Expensive Bowl Tickets Of 2014

What do you get when you stage a bowl game in New York City in a modestly-sized stadium between two Northeast schools with sizable alumni bases in the greater New York City area? One of the hottest tickets of this year's bowl season, of course.

According to a study by TicketCity, the median ticket price of the New Era Pinstripe Bowl between Boston College and Penn State is the seventh most expensive ticket of all the postseason bowl games. The median price of a Pinstripe Bowl ticket ($129.00) was topped only by the CFP National Championship Game, four of the six New Year's Six—Sugar, Rose, Peach and Cotton—and the San Diego-based Holiday Bowl between USC and Nebraska.

The median ticket price for the Pinstripe beat out two of the New Year's Six Bowls, and is $67 cheaper than a ticket to the December 31 Orange Bowl between Georgia Tech and Mississippi State. Orange Bowl tickets can be had for as low as $2 for an upper deck seat, the cheapest tickets of any bowl game. #goacc
