Spots are still available for the 15th annual Kevin Eidt Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament.
The Kevin M. Eidt Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Kevin, an Honors Program computer science major in the Boston College Carroll School of Management class of 2000, who died of cardiac arrest while playing an intramural basketball game in his freshman year.
This year's tournament is on Sunday, September 29 at Wayland Country Club in Wayland, Mass. The golf outing is the primary funding source of an annual scholarship, currently worth $16,000 a year, in the CSOM Honors Program. This year, a $2,000 annual award was added to the fund for the Emerging Leader Program.
The Fund has awarded over $250,000 in scholarship money to BC since 1999.
In addition to the usual golf fare and regular registration this year's event will auction off a Boston College vs. Virginia Tech middle campus parking pass. More information is available on the golf outing's specific site or you can contact Kevin's brother Chris by email at cjeidt@optonline.net.
If you are around for the Florida State game next weekend, we hope you'll consider attending the event to honor the memory of a fallen Eagle. Ever to Excel.
