The Northeastern Huskies scored three goals on their first three shots to go up 3-0, but BC rallied back to tie the preseason game, 3-3. Remember the other day when we were talking about BC's big recruiting class? Well, Isaac Normesinu, a freshman, scored two goals for BC. Fellow freshman Zekio Lewis scored the third. BC is back in action at Holy Cross on Saturday.

On Friday, the women's soccer team clobbered Providence College, 5-0, in their first and only exhibition game. Patrice Valtori had a pair for BC, while freshman Rosie DiMartino scored as well... apparently, there's another DiMartino. Two DiMartinos have played for BC over the past 6-7 years. The women get their season underway For Reals on Friday night against Stanford.

Team building was Boston College coach Steve Addazio’s primary order of business during yesterday’s intrasquad scrimmage at Alumni Stadium.
Addazio kept veterans Alex Amidon (WR), Andre Williams (RB), Florida transfer Matt Patchan (OL), Kaleb Ramsey (DE), Josh Bordner (QB) and Kevin Pierre-Louis (LB) on the bench for the Eagles’ second training camp scrimmage. The freshmen and inexperienced upperclassmen were provided a fair assessment through a patchwork of situational football on both sides of the line. Addazio attempted to consolidate his depth chart and establish a practice squad from experimental combinations on the field.

Goaltender Drew Vogler has verbally committed to play for Merrimack College. The Florissant, Mo. native played last season for the Cleveland Barons U18 Midget Team and is expected to play for the Topeka RoadRunners (NAHL) this season.
The past year has been a huge one for ACC football, thanks mostly to its commissioner, John Swofford, who engineered expansion, negotiated the conference’s proper place in the future playoff system and a grant of media rights package to secure the membership.
