Nice work with #TheRivalry donations. Keep it up (and keep Boston College ahead of those pesky Demon Deacons) ...
BC's Chase Rettig fluent in playbook language (ESPN ACC Blog)
"I have a different perspective for the game," he said. "I’m 21 years old. I feel like I’m a professional. College football is not an amateur sport by no means. A new offense? I’ll learn it and I’ll teach it to everyone else. It hasn’t been a problem for me at all. If anything it’s made me grow stronger and more knowledgeable about the game. In the future, if I ever get a chance to play at the next level, I’ll have five offenses I can bounce off of them: one that’s a West Coast offense, where you have 15- 16-word plays that a lot of guys don’t know when they’re getting interviewed to go to the next level. It will definitely help me out."
Step One: Get Tougher (The Clemson Insider)
"Are you willing to sacrifice for your team, for your teammate? It’s a mindset which is sometimes contrary to what’s out there right now. That’s why I think there are a lot of great players in college football, but there are not a lot of great teams."
With new deal, Matt Ryan needs Super Bowl (ESPN NFC South Blog)
I don’t think so. I think Ryan has what it takes to win a Super Bowl. He’s talented, poised and respected as a leader by his teammates. The past postseason woes haven’t been all his fault. The defense and the lack of a running game played big roles in the San Francisco loss.

Let's Talk CFB Buy-Sell-Hold (Barking Carnival)
They're inexperienced just about everywhere else, however, so ordinarily I'd be concerned that my Buy recommendation was premature. Did I mention, though, that the Eagles finished 2-10 last year? Addazio will turn things around this year, and provided he remains in Chestnut Hill, BC will challenge for the ACC championship within five years. Buy
College football guru Phil Steele favors Florida State over Clemson in ACC (The Post and Courier)
"I understand why the writers picked Clemson," Steele said. "A lot of the factor may have been, the general public, when they analyze a team, they look at the quarterback first, naturally. If you do that, you give Clemson a large edge over Florida State: with Tajh Boyd over a redshirt freshman. … now, offensively, the two teams are actually fairly close."
