Boston College may have moved on past their dark 2012 season, but the ACC media crew hasn't forgotten last year's 2-10 season. Today during the ACC Kickoff, this year's predictions came out, and if they are right it does not look good for BC.
Atlantic Division
1. Clemson Tigers (102) - 815
2. Florida St. Seminoles (18) - 731
3. N.C. State Wolfpack - 490
4. Wake Forest Demon Deacons - 392
5. Maryland Terrapins - 373
6. Syracuse Orange - 320
7. Boston College Eagles - 211
Coastal Division
1. Miami Hurricanes (65) - 736
2. Virginia Tech Hokies (27) - 654
3. North Carolina Tar Heels (22) - 649
4. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6) - 522
5. Pittsburgh Panthers - 313
6. Virginia Cavaliers - 230
7. Duke Blue Devils - 228
Yes, that is right. The ACC media selected Boston College to finish dead last not only in the Atlantic, but gave them the lowest vote total of any team in the ACC. No surprise in the winners, as the media tabbed Clemson and Miami, keeping with a theme that has come out of many preseason predictions.
I don't agree with the Atlantic prediction for the most part. Syracuse is coming over to the ACC, without their NFL caliber quarterback, NFL ready head coach and are bringing on a head coach that has been a lifelong coordinator. Boston College fans know how that story will end.
Wake Forest fourth? Michael Campanaro is a nice wide receiver, and Tanner Price is serviceable, but will they really finish fourth in the Atlantic? I would be more apt to believe Maryland or BC would reach that high. I think both the Terps and Eagles are stronger teams than the Deacons. A good fix in the defense, some ball control, and a coach with a pulse and I believe BC will be bowling in 2013.
