BC makes huge recruiting strides (ESPN ACC Blog)
Addazio has told me repeatedly how much he has emphasized improving the way BC recruits from the moment he was hired. The numbers bear that out. BC already has a league-high 13 commitments, including two from four-star talents -- running back Marcus Outlow and linebacker Connor Strachan. The Eagles also have a commitment from dual-threat quarterback Darius Wade, who recently turned heads at an Elite 11 camp in Columbus.

Mariemont 2014 defensive lineman/tight end Jon Bezney is expected to visit Boston College and Yale later this month, according to Mariemont coach Kurry Commins. Bezney, who is 6 feet 5 and 275 pounds, also has offers from UC, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Connecticut, Miami University, Kentucky, Louisville, Massachusetts and Kent State.

Kiwanuka back at Giants' starting DE with JPP out (AP)
Mathias Kiwanuka is going back to being a defensive end for the New York Giants — and as a starter. Kiwanuka was thrust into the starting job earlier this week when Jason Pierre-Paul had surgery to repair a herniated disc in his lower back.

McCoshen, Santini Invited To U.S. National Junior Camp (BCEagles.com)
Two Boston College incoming freshmen hockey players - defensemen Ian McCoshen and Steve Santini - are among the 40 forwards and defensemen that have been invited to participate in the 2013 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp from Aug. 3-10 in Lake Placid, N.Y. Goaltender invitations to the camp will be announced later this month.
