Boston College Coed Sailing Finishes Fifth At Gill Coed National Championship

The Boston College coed sailing team came home empty from its trip to St. Petersburg for the 2013 National Championships, but turned in a respectable fifth place finish at the Gill Coed National Championship Regatta. The Eagles finished with 291 points, while College of Charleston won the event with 215 points.

Georgetown (235 points) finished in second. Dartmouth (256 points), Brown (265) and BC (291) rounded out the top five.

The A Division Eagles team of seniors Patrick Hession, Laura McKenna, Molly Clarke and freshman Raul Rios, junior Shone Bowman and sophomore Domenic Bove placed second with 110 points. BC's William Bailey, Alexander Cook, Erika Reineke, Molly Clarke, Laura McKenna, Elizabeth Barnard, Shone Bowman and Ryan Mullins placed 13th in the B Division with 181 points.

Congrats to seniors Laura McKenna and Patrick Hession, who both picked up 2013 ICSA Crew All-American honors. Freshman Raul Rios was named to the All-American Skipper team.
