Boston College Football Recruiting: Connor Strachan Commits To BC

Steve Addazio pulled off another big move today, landing highly regarded linebacker Connor Strachan from St. Sebastian in Needham. Sports writer Mike Loyko broke the news on Twitter, which was later confirmed by Rivals.com as well.

This is possibly Addazio's crown jewel so far in this recruiting class. Strachan represents many things for Boston College. He is a local kid, either the #1 or #2 prospect in Massachusetts, and he had a bevy of offers from major BCS programs. Schools like Syracuse, Wake Forest, Virginia, UConn, UMass -- and according to ESPN UMass Lowell (Lol) -- all had offers to Strachan, and recruiting was projected to pick up even more after he was named the top linebacker at the Rivals Camp last week.

The 6-foot-2, 240 pound linebacker was recruited by Don Brown. Strachan is ranked as the #15 inside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com. He's also listed among ESPN's Top 300 recruits for 2014. Strachan runs a 4.48 40.
