Rolandan Finch Leaves Boston College Football Team For "Personal Reasons"

BC's top running back has decided to leave the program.

Spring scrimmages were well underway today, and the biggest news came after the practice. Deuce Finch who was watching the games in street clothes, has left the team

Finch who spent a good chunk of last year in Frank Spaziani's doghouse was expected to be a major contributor in Steve Addazio's run heavy offense. Finch was the leading rusher for the Eagles in 2011, but missed 7 games last year when he was placed on the practice squad. There is no word why Finch is leaving the team, or if he plans on continuing to play at another school.

Obviously this puts a huge bind on the Eagles who were light at the running back position anyways. Andre Williams, who has shined this spring, is going to most likely get a majority of the runs, and after that is a huge question mark. Tahj Kimble has the ability, but he is still recovering from major surgery. David Dudeck is still around, but does have the ability to be an effective running back? George Craan, Myles Willis, and Tyler Rouse are all available as well, but none have any experience playing at the college level.

Also, Steve Addazio who has already secured one recruit (Marcus Outlow), is going to need to make sure he adds you have to imagine at least two more running backs. BC's depth at running back is very thin right now.

Rolandan Finch finished his BC career with 1265 total yards, his biggest game in 2011 when he ran for 243 yards in a muddy snow filled affair against Maryland. We wish nothing but the best for Deuce where ever his life path takes him.
