It's unclear how much glue was sniffed before the Nike and school officials decided that this was the best design for the new football helmet, especially considering the program had two perfectly acceptable design alternatives. UConn schadenfreude is here, here and here and it is delicious.

Let this be a lesson for all you who want Under Armour to modernize the Boston College football lids. You may want a Philadelphia Eagles-esque winged helmet, but you'll end up with Angry Chicken eyes in your helmet stripe. Don't let Angry Chicken eyes end up in your helmet stripe.
