Wide Receiver Ifeanyi Momah Signs Contract with Philadelphia Eagles

Former BC receiver finally gets chances in NFL

Elsa

Former BC wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah received some great news today as he was offered a contract from Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Recently the 6-7 Momah had scouts watching him workout during Pro Day at Boston College. He finished his collegiate with 39 catches for 629 yards and 6 TD's.

One of the most depressing stories in the preseason of 2012 was the fate of Ifeanyi Momah. After injuring his ACL in 2011 in the opening game against Northwestern, easily the best game of his career when he finished with 8 catches for 171 yards. He missed the rest of the season. Momah filed for a red shirt and was promptly rejected by the NCAA, effectively ending his collegiate career.

Momah will be joining former defensive coordinator Bill McGovern in Philly. He's a huge target, and if he can stay healthy he could be a solid contributor in the NFL. Will be very interesting to see what role he plays with the Eagles, and how he fits into a wide receiving corp that includes Jeremy Maclin, Desean Jackson and Riley Cooper.

Congratulations Ifeanyi!
