A Boston University grad, Quinn played for the Terriers from 1984-87. He served as an assistant coach under Parker for five years from 2004-09. Following the 2009 National Championship season, Quinn accepted a job in the Colorado Avalanche organization. He's currently an assistant coach with Colorado. Prior to coaching at BU, Quinn also made career coaching coaching stops at Nebraska-Omaha and Northeastern as an assistant coach.
Quinn edged out several other candidates to become Jack Parker's successor, including current BU assistant coach Mike Bavis. The school made quick work of the coaching search with Parker announcing his retirement a little over two weeks ago.
Sounds like Quinn will finish out the year with the Avs before assuming BU head coaching duties. Leave your thoughts on the hire below.
