Happy Thursday! BC hockey returns to the ice tomorrow night to start a home-and-home with UNH - and not a moment too soon, as there's been far too much doom and/or gloom in BC-land over the past 7 days. Time to right the ship!

3. Boston College (8-4-2). The Eagles were upset unceremoniously by Holy Cross at home over the weekend. It was an ugly game in which defensive lapses led to easy goals for the Crusaders. This is a dangerous offensive team, but the defense and goaltending lack experience. The defensive mistakes made over the past few games have been very concerning to say the least, but if there is any coaching staff that can correct issues it is this one.

Gaudreau, Fitzgerald Garner Hockey East Awards (

Boston College headlined Hockey East's monthly honors for November as junior forward Johnny Gaudreau and first-year winger Ryan Fitzgerald were tabbed Hockey East Player of the Month and Hockey East Rookie of the Month, respectively, on Tuesday afternoon.

Honors for ACC's Winston, Cutcliffe - Sentinel & Enterprise

Boston College's Steve Addazio received two votes for the coaching award and Florida State's Jimbo Fisher had one. Cutcliffe won the award last year for coaching Duke to its first bowl game since 1994. He's the first repeat selection since Steve Spurrier also did it at Duke in 1988 and '89.
