The post season hasn't hit yet, but the accolades for Boston College has just begun. First year head coach Steve Addazio was named a semi-finalist today for Collegiate Coach of the Year by the Maxwell Football Club. Addazio who has turned around a listless program into a bowl eligible team in less than a year joins the likes of Nick Saban, Guz Malzahn and Jimbo Fisher for the Award.

Headed by Ron Jaworski, the Maxwell Football Club will announce the winner on December 2nd.

MFC Collegiate Coach of the Year Semi-Finalists

Nick Saban, Alabama
Gus Malzahn, Auburn
Art Briles, Baylor
Steve Addazio, Boston College
Dabo Swinney, Clemson
David Cutcliffe, Duke
Tim DeRuyter, Fresno State
Jimbo Fisher, Florida State
Mark Dantonio, Michigan State
Gary Pinkel, Missouri
Rod Carey, Northern Illinois
Urban Meyer, Ohio State
Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State
George O'Leary, UCF
Ed Orgeron, USC
Gary Andersen, Wisconsin

Addazio is obviously up against some stiff competition, but you never know if the Eagles win out and finish the season 8-4 after a 2-10 2012 campaign.  Even if he doesn't win, this is a great honor for Addazio, and let's hope he can pull off some more magic and bring home some hardware.
