The 11th ranked Boston College field hockey team learned its postseason fate on Sunday night. The Eagles (12-7) will head to Syracuse to face No. 7 Connecticut (17-4) on Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m. in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Field Hockey Tournament.

The winner of BC-UConn will take on the winner of Syracuse and the winner of the play-in game between Miami (Ohio) and Michigan State.

Boston College defeated UConn, 4-3, in overtime earlier this season. The Eagles also knocked off Syracuse, 6-3, back on September 20, but the Orange had the last laugh, bouncing Boston College from the first round of the ACC Tournament. BC will be making its eighth trip to the National tournament.

If you needed more proof of how absolutely stacked ACC field hockey truly is, the league placed all seven ACC teams in the tournament, claiming six of the eight at-large spots and all four host sites (top four tournament seeds).
