On Thursday night, Jerry York received a verbal commitment from Shattuck St. Mary's (Minnesota) forward Graham McPhee. The 5-foot-10, 150 pounder from Bethesda, Maryland is expected to arrive at Boston College for the fall of 2016.

Last season, McPhee scored 32 goals and added 51 assists in 55 Bantam Tier I games for Shattuck St. Mary's last season. In addition, he potted three goals and added two helpers in five games last April in the USA U14 National Championships.
Graham's father, George, is the current GM of the Washington Capitals, where former Eagles blueliner Patrick Wey is in the Caps minor leagues. Safe to say not many Boston College hockey recruits can boast about that time they got lessons from Adam Oates, or that other time when Alex Ovechkin gave them an atomic wedgie on the ice at the 2011 Winter Classic.
McPhee joins Nobles right wing Colin White and Malden Catholic defenseman Casey Fitzgerald as recruits expected to join the program for 2016-17.
Welcome to the Heights, Graham!
