Boston College Football: Kevin Pierre-Louis Earns ACC Player Of The Week Honors

The 6-foot-1, 225 pounder recorded a career-high 18 tackles, including 10 solo, in BC's 48-27 win over Army. KPL has now hit double digits in tackles in 13 of 36 games over his collegiate career.

When you rush the ball 30 times for 263 yards and 5 touchdowns and DON'T earn conference player of the week honors, you know someone else at your position achieved something even more spectacular. Clemson QB Tajh Boyd did just that, completing 20-of-27 passes for 455 yards and five touchdowns in Clemson's blowout victory over Syracuse. Boyd's passing efficiency mark (261.1) was the best in the nation this year given a minimum of 20 attempts.

In a minor upset, Boyd earned ACC offensive back of the week honors over Boston College's Andre Williams. Thanks, Syracuse. #OrangeEagle

Florida State's Jameis Winston has a legit claim to this week's offensive back award as well, having thrown for season highs in passing yards (393) and touchdowns (5) on 23-of-32 passing in a 63-0 rout of Maryland. Winston once again earns ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Shocking, I know.

Boston College would not be completely shut out of this week's individual ACColades, however, as senior linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis earned ACC Linebacker of the Week honors. The 6-foot-1, 225 pounder recorded a career-high 18 tackles, including 10 solo, in BC's 48-27 win over Army. KPL has now hit double digits in tackles in 13 of 36 games over his collegiate career. Pierre-Louis currently ranks second in the ACC with 50 tackles and leads the league with 28 solo stops.

Congratulations to Kevin!
