Men's Hockey Alums Lead NHL Roster (
Boston College led all Hockey East members in number of alumni to open the 2013-14 season on National Hockey League rosters. Fourteen former Eagles will help constitute Hockey East's group of 49 alumni to start off the season.

Cory Schneider Will Start Thursday for Devils, Snapping Martin Brodeur’s Streak of 18 Straight Season Openers (
Thursday will mark the end of an era in Newark. The Devils announced Wednesday that former Vancouver Canuck Cory Schneider will start in net when the team begins its season against Pittsburgh, marking the first time since 1993 that a goalie not named Martin Brodeur has started a season opener for New Jersey.

The Boston College Field Hockey team has joined with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure, in which sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.

Eight Former Eagles To be Inducted Varsity Club Hall of Fame on Friday (
Eight of the finest athletes in Boston College history comprise the Class of 2013 and will be inducted into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame on Friday at Conte Forum. The group will be recognized at halftime of Saturday's football game against Army.
