UNC looks for turnaround in 2nd half of year - AP
North Carolina at least has a realistic chance to turn around the ACC's worst record during the back half of the season.
Among the final six opponents for the last-place Tar Heels (1-5, 0-3) are an FCS team and five conference foes with a combined record of 17-15. And the turnaround has to start this week against Boston College (3-3, 1-2).
ACC (#goacc) Power Rankings: Week 8 (Blogger So Dear)
#7: Boston College is coming off a bye and that means they had an extra week to prepare for North Carolina. The Tar Heels opened up as 10 point favorites, but Boston College is perfectly capable of winning this game. BC still has games remaining against New Mexico State, NC State, Maryland, and Syracuse, so they can absolutely still make a bowl game.
Florida State: Best team in the country? - College Football Nation Blog - ESPN
The Noles have the most impressive win to date, 51-14 at No. 3 Clemson. The Tigers are not a bad team. In fact, Clemson is still a top-10 team. These two facts alone should make everybody reconsider what they believe about Florida State.
Did the Noles look sloppy at Boston College? At times, yes. But in their biggest game of the season, when people believed the spotlight would be too bright for Jameis Winston, they humiliated the preseason ACC favorite and made them look like an also-ran.
Film Study: What the hell happened at Boston College Friday night? - Bucky's 5th Quarter
The Badgers were steamrolled Friday night by Boston College. We broke down the game tape to discover Wisconsin's flaws.
Let me tell you, this article is tremendous, a must-read, and an inspiration for our hockey coverage here at BCI. Great work, guys.
The Boston College student section wasn't laughing at you six and a half minutes into Friday night's 9-2 slaughter of your Wisconsin Badgers. They were laughing because when Johnny Gaudreau does dirty things to a goalie like he did to you on that breakaway goal to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead, the only reasonable response is wide-eyed laughter.
Rangers look to Chris Kreider for offensive boost - Newsday
Chris Kreider has gone from college hockey star to NHL playoff wunderkind to potentially major disappointment to someone the Rangers are looking to for a spark. All in the span of two short years.
When Kreider started the season in the AHL, I asked the Hockey Gods to curse them with losses in every game until they called him up. Well, they haven't lost every game, but pretty close. They're 2-5. Go Kreider.
A new era in one of the most storied college hockey programs began on Oct. 11 when David Quinn stepped behind the bench for Boston University for his first NCAA game against the University of Massachusetts.
Wasylk Named Hockey East Player of the Week (BCEagles.com)
Boston College senior Taylor Wasylk has earned Hockey East Association Player of the Week honors after scoring four points (2-2-4) and recording a +3 rating in the three games this week.
This article probably only really needed to include this GIF and let it do all the talking:
