Another day, another Frank Spaziani recruit decides against Boston College. Today, it is Ohio wide receiver Dan Monteroso:
Ohio WR Dan Monteroso decommits from BC after #Purdue visi. He will visit Maryland this week, then pick between Boilermakers and Terps.

This is no surprise, as Monteroso was recruited by Jim Bollman who is no longer on staff. However, this decommit particularly stings because he was the highest rated recruit of the 2013 class. Monteroso will be visit Maryland before deciding between the Boilermakers and Terrapins.
Monteroso joins K Michael Geiger (Michigan State) and RB LeShun Daniels (Iowa) as recruits who decided to go elsewhere after Frank Spaziani was fired. These types of moves are not uncommon, but what is troubling is that Steve Addazio has yet to secure a single commitment in the six weeks he has been head coach.
Over the weekend, the Eagles received visits from Myles Willis, Michael Julian, Silas Spearman, Raphael Webb and quarterback James Walsh. Willis is already committed, and Webb will be meeting with Addazio tomorrow. Julian seems to fit the new offense perfectly. BC has a hand full of scholarships remaining, yet only a short amount of time before National Signing Day.
Steve Addazio, a desperate fan base turns to you. Get us some recruits!
