2013 MLS SuperDraft: Charlie Rugg Selected 19th Overall By Los Angeles Galaxy

With Kyle Bekker selected as the third overall pick earlier in the day, this year's draft marks the first time in program history that two players were selected in the first round.

With the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, the two-time defending MLS champion Los Angeles Galaxy selected Eagles standout Charlie Rugg. With Bekker selected as the third overall pick earlier in the day, this year's draft marks the first time in program history that two players were selected in the first round.

Rugg, a three time All-ACC first team selection, is one of the most prolific goal scorers in Boston College history. The Rosindale, Mass. product ranks fifth all-time in goals (28) and points (74). He lead the team with five goals, four assists and 14 points as a senior despite playing a shortened season due to injury.
