This year's Walter Brown Award winner potted 26 goals and 19 assists in 38 games for the Eagles, finishing his senior season as the nation's second leading goal scorer. He finishes his career with 55 goals and 73 assists, a big part of a Boston College senior class that finishes 8-0 in the Beanpot (4 titles), 14-1 in the Hockey East Tournament (3 titles) and 8-2 in the NCAAs (2 titles).
While a bit undersized, Whitney is highly skilled and was one of the better undrafted free agents out there.
Had Steven Whitney as seventh best remaining UFA as of yesterday. Undersized, but tenacious and highly skilled. Nice signing for Ducks.

Whitney will likely report to the Ducks' AHL affiliate Norfolk Admirals. Best of luck to Whit with the Ducks!
