The early Vegas lines have installed Boston College at a 9 point favorite this weekend at West Point. The line at the Wynn Las Vegas started at -8 and has since moved to -9 in little under at hour. Army (0-4) is coming off a 22-3 loss against Stony Brook in a game where the Black Knights were thoroughly dominated. The Seawolves matched Army's production on the ground -- 273 yards -- en route to their first ever win over a Division I-A team.
Here are the lines from the last five BC-Army games.
2007: Boston College 37, Army 17 (Army +26)
2005: Boston College 44, Army 7 (BC -27.5)
2001: Boston College 31, Army 10 (Army +23.5)
2000: Boston College 55, Army 17 (BC -6.5)
1997: Boston College 24, Army 20 (Army +13.5)
This weekend's game marks the 37th meeting in the all-time series, with the Eagles holding a 24-12 edge. BC has won each of the last five meetings between the Eagles and Black Knights, a streak that dates back to 1995.
Other week 6 lines of note include two ACC Atlantic Division matchups this weekend. Florida State is a 13.5 point favorite at N.C. State while Maryland is a 4 point favorite at home vs. Wake Forest. Clemson is a 10.5 point favorite vs. Georgia Tech. In the Coastal, North Carolina is a 3.5 favorite (!) at home vs. Virginia Tech. There's no line yet on Duke-Virginia as Vegas waits to see what the status of Duke QB Sean Renfree is after sustaining a right elbow injury in the win over Wake Forest. In non-conference play, Notre Dame is a 12 point favorite against Miami at Soldier Field in Chicago.
