Boston College Lands Four On NHL Central Scouting's Preliminary 2013 NHL Draft Rankings

We don't rebuild, we reload.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Last week, the NHL released their preliminary list of players to watch for this summer's NHL Draft. Here is the full list of players with college ties.

This year Central Scouting has changed the designations, giving draft-eligible skaters 'A' 'B' or 'C' letter grades. An 'A' grade is given to players considered to be potential first round picks. Only four college commits -- North Dakota's Luke Johnson, Michigan's JT Compher and Michael Downing and Minnesota's Hudson Fasching -- are given an 'A' rating.

Boston College has four players checking in on this year's preliminary list. Valley Junior Warriors (EJHL) center Ryan Fitzgerald ('13) and USA Under 18 NTDP Team defenseman Steve Santini both received a 'B' rating, while Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) center Conor McGlynn and freshman winger Frank Vatrano received a 'C' rating.

From Hockey East, Northeastern leads the conference with six skaters -- either current roster players or recruits -- cracking the preliminary list of players. Maine, Notre Dame and Providence each have two players listed when Boston University and Connecticut have one player listed.

Important to remember that it's still very early into the season. Expect more players to emerge on the Central Scouting Service's NHL Draft rankings as the junior hockey seasons get into full swing.
