Still not much of anything going on publicly with the search for Gene DeFilippo's successor as Boston College Athletic Director. The only news-y items we have to go off of are A Jerseyguy.com's CTRL+C, CTRL+V jobs of potential candidates. This week's candidate: Wisconsin Deputy Athletics Director Sean Frazier.
Frazier is currently the Deputy Athletics Director at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having served in that role since April 2011. Among Frazier's duties at UW are oversight of the football and men's and women's ice hockey programs, ticket office, event management, strategic planning and food and beverage. Prior to his stay in Madison, Frazier was the Director of Athletics at Merrimack, Clarkson and Division III Manhattanville, as well as the assistant director of athletics at Maine.
Having spent his entire collegiate athletics administration career at hockey stops Wisconsin, Merrimack, Clarkson, Manhattanville (Division III) and Maine, Frazier was a natural choice to serve as this year's Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee Chair.
He holds a bachelor's degree in communications and a master's degree in higher education leadership from the University of Maine. Additionally, Frazier is working towards his Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis at Wisconsin.
Originally from Long Island, Frazier played college football at the University of Alabama. If hired, perhaps Boston College can finally live up to its ultimate aspiration of being Harvard Monday through Friday and Alabama on Saturdays.
