Boston College Daily Links: Men's Lacrosse On The Way?

Boston College's AD Resigns; Lacrosse on the Way? (College Crosse)
It's just all there for Boston College to pursue if it chooses to have a little guts and make the move. I'm not saying that Boston College should cut men's varsity programs in baseball, sailing, fencing, golf, and skiing to make way for men's varsity lacrosse (well, maybe baseball because baseball -- in general -- is stupid and baseball in the north -- specifically -- is incredibly stupid); I'm just saying that with a little ingenuity and desire men's lacrosse could happen in a big way at Boston College.

BC’s Alex Amidon a threat (
"Everyone has been able to pick it up really well and I think that says a lot about him [Doug Martin]. He really teaches it well and I think the fact that we picked it up easily helps us to improve and perfect it where we get to the point where we run it second-nature."

BC defense readying for the run (The MetroWest Daily News)
Ramsey and fellow 300-pound defensive tackle Dillon Quinn are where the BC defense starts. If they can disrupt opposing offensive lines, the Eagles can return to the formula that fueled so many victories as the Eagles annually exceeded expectations after moving from the Big East to the ACC.

ACC Season Outlook: Boston College DT Kaleb Ramsey (
Why he'll flourish: Ramsey's absence last season helped Boston College develop depth. The Eagles return 21 of the 24 starts from the two DT positions from last season. They also return DE Kasim Edebali. An improved pass rush from the outside and more help on the inside will free up Ramsey to make big plays in the middle.

Boston College: Where We Avenge Terrible Referees and the Leader of the Rise Up Movement (From The Rumble Seat)
I feel quite confident in saying that on October 20, we'll avenge our '07 loss in a better fashion than our 3-point win in '08. We've got a lot more going for us than they do. I'll take Georgia Tech by at least 3 touchdowns in this game.
