Boston College recruiting got a big, yet not totally unexpected hit Tuesday morning when tight end 2013 recruit Andrew Isaacs officially decommitted from the program. Isaacs has reportedly switched his commit to fellow ACC Atlantic Division program Maryland. A Connecticut native, Isaacs was only considered a soft commit, and many Eagles writers felt it was only a matter of time before he jumped to another program.
Boston College's lone four star recruit, Isaacs becomes the second tight end in as many years to decommit from BC to choose another school. This is obviously a blow for the Eagles, as Isaacs was their highest rated recruit. Of course this is just par for the course in the world of college football recruiting.
The biggest question will be how Doug Martin and the other recruiters react to the news, and what other options they have on their recruiting board.
