Boston College Hockey Well Represented At 2012 All-American Prospects Game

USA Hockey will stage the first-ever All-American Prospects Game on September 29 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. The event will feature 40 of the top American-born prospects eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. The organization released the 40-player list on Wednesday and Boston College will be well represented.

A total of 15 colleges will be represented at the event. Michigan leads the way with five players, while Boston College and Denver are each sending four recruits. Miami (three), Harvard (two), Minnesota (two) and North Dakota (two) round out the list of programs with multiple participants.

For the Eagles, forward Ryan Fitzgerald and defensemen Steve Santini and Scott Savage have been named to the 40-player list. All three players will hit campus in time for the 2013-14 season. Incoming freshman blueliner Frank Vatrano will also represent the Eagles at the All-American Prospects Game and joins the team this fall.

Around Hockey East, New Hampshire will be represented by forward Tyler Kelleher (2013), Boston University by forward Matt Lane (2012) and Northeastern by forward Ross Olsson (2013). Notre Dame commit Dawson Cook (2013) will also join the Fighting Irish program in time for the move to Hockey East.
