The website Tradition Sports Online has leaked select player and team ratings from the upcoming NCAA Football 13 video game, confirming that some programmers sitting in Redwood City, California don't think highly of the 2012 Boston College Eagles football team.

According to the website, Boston College will be an 85 overall, 83 on offense, 86 on defense and 3 on the prestige meter.

To put these numbers in context, Clemson, Notre Dame and Florida State are 97 overall, Virginia Tech is a 95, N.C. State and Miami are 91s (!), and Georgia Tech is an 87. As is Northwestern. The Terps received the same 85 rating that BC did, while Wake Forest (81) and Army (73) were the only 2012 opponents ranked lower than BC. Oh, and Maine, who, unlike the game's manufacturer, is not in the game.

The Eagles offense, a unit that ranked 112 in total offense in 2011, predictably gets no love in NCAA Football 13. The offense's 83 ranking is 11th best in the ACC, ahead of only Maryland (80). Army (75) is the only other 2012 opponent that has a lower ranked offense than the Eagles.

BC's once vaunted defense only received a 86, ranked lower than every other 2012 opponent except for Georgia Tech (84), Northwestern (84) and Wake Forest (76). Yes, ranked lower than even Maryland's D (87).

Discuss.
