The Marshall Thundering Herd has landed a pair of former Boston College defensive backs in Dominick LeGrande and Okechukwu Okoroha, according to CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman. Last August, both Okoroha and LeGrande left the Eagles football program during fall camp. Okoroha was dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons. LeGrande's decision to transfer quickly followed Okoroha's departure.
Both LeGrande and Okoroha graduated from Boston College this spring and have been accepted into grad school at Marshall, so they will be eligible to play immediately.
LeGrande started six games in 2009 and appeared in 11 games as a reserve in 2010, making 21 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Okoroha appeared in all 13 games in 2010 and started six in place of the injured Wes Davis. He made 27 tackles (17 solo) on the year.
Marshall has to replace both starting safeties from last year's team. The Thundering Herd opens the 2012 season at West Virginia.
