Boston College Football Lands Commitment From Kicker Michael Geiger

Boston College football had a good week on the recruiting trail last week. Within the past week, the Eagles added Connecticut LB Cory Jasudowich and Ohio DE Kevin Kavalec. On Saturday, coach Chris Sailer leaked via Twitter that the Eagles had added their eight recruit with kicker Michael Geiger. Geiger's commitment brings the class up three recruits in the last week and a total of five in the month of June alone.

It seems like the new staff is finally hitting its stride on the recruiting trail. Assistant Defensive Line / Special Teams coach Al Washington has been keeping us apprised of the latest recruiting news via his Facebook page. Love the energy and enthusiasm from the new staff -- "We all we got!" -- and hope that the new staff can keep up the momentum.

For a class that was stuck at just three recruits -- Andrew Isaacs, Jack Cottrell and Mackay Lowrie -- entering June has really shaped up into a decent looking class heading into July. Let's hope that Spaz and staff can keep the momentum going, starting this week with Cincinnati WR Trey Kilgore and OL Jack MacDonald expected to announce their decisions this week.

Kilgore, a 6-foot-2, 183 pound wide receiver from St. Xavier (Cincinnati), claims offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan State and half the MAC. MacDonald, a 6-foot-5, 275 pound offensive guard from B.C. High, claims offers from BC, Duke, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina and Virginia, as well as UConn and UMass.

Should be an interesting week on the recruiting trail.
