Two more Boston College recruits have been selected in the 2012 NHL Draft. This time it is 2013 recruit forward Chris Calnan and Adam Gilmour. Both are currently juniors and teammates at Noble and Greenough in Dedham and are expected to join BC for the 2013-14 season.

The excitement began when right wingers Chris Calnan was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 79th pick in the 3rd round. According to our recap of Calnan's commitment back in February he "scored 45 points -- 22 goals, 23 assists -- for Nobles this season. He was ranked as the 94th best North American skater in the 2012 NHL Central Scouting Midterm rankings."

Calnan will be joining BC Central, joining fellow alums Ben Smith, Kevin Hayes, and Jimmy Hayes in the Blackhawk system.

Shortly after 2013 recruit Adam Gilmour a center, was picked up by the Minnesota Wild with the 98th pick of the draft. Back when Gilmour committed to Jerry York in April, BC Interruption had this to say on the 2013 recruit: "finished the year with 26 goals and 30 assists (56 points) in 26 games. The junior finished as the 101th ranked North American skater in the NHL Central Scouting Service's Final Rankings (up from 145 in the midterm rankings)."

As always we will be keeping an eye on the draft and posting any updates if any other BC players or recruits are selected.
