It's not an incredibly talented team, but with 17 returning starters, nine of whom are on the offensive side (including QB Chase Rettig), the Eagles at least have some positive notes to build on. Not in that category is the dismissal of Montel Harris due to a repeated violation of team rules in early May. The school's all-time leading rusher, Harris was in position to challenge the record for the conference. In his absence, the Eagles will approach the position with a trio of backs that will try and replicate his production.

14. Boston College. Not surprisingly, the smallest class in the conference is at the bottom, especially when the group doesn't have much quality to it.

"I have some hope and a certain level of confidence," Swofford said. "When we left Florida, that was a big step to have a consensus in the room to go to a three-game, four-team playoff. I said the devil was in the details and that would be just as challenging. We're finding that to be true, but I think a lot of people have put their heads into this. I think we've made considerable progress on it. I think we're within striking distance on most of it."

Colucci Gets Experience Playing Summer Baseball (BCEagles.com)
Redshirt freshman Nick Colucci missed the 2011-12 Boston College baseball season after having Tommy John surgery. He spent the year rehabbing and learning the collegiate game. He is back on the diamond this summer, playing for the Brockton Rox in the Future Collegiate Baseball League.
