Boston College Baseball Announces 2012-13 Class

The Boston College baseball team announced the addition of 11 new players to its roster for the 2012-13 season. According to the experts, the incoming class is loaded with impact players and features a Gatorade Player of the Year, a pitcher on the Canadian Junior National Team and two hurlers who threw no hitters during their senior year.

SS/RHP Luke Fernandes -- Elliot, Maine / Marshwood
SS Gabriel Hernandez -- Brooklyn, N.Y. / Xaverian
IF Logan Hoggarth -- North Point, Fla. / North Point
RHP John Nicklas -- Foxboro, Mass. / St. Sebastian's
C/1B Stephan Sauter -- Fullerton, Calif. / Troy
OF/1B Christopher Shaw -- Lexington, Mass. / Lexington
LHP Austin Solecitto -- Franklin Lakes, N.J. / Indian Hills

Nice things were said by head coach Mike Gambino.

"I really like the makeup of this class," Gambino said. "I think it's a class full of high character student-athletes who will have a huge impact on the field, in the clubhouse and around the Boston College community. I think it also shows the type of national recognition the BC degree carries when we can recruit Maine to Florida, out to California, and everywhere in between."
