The Boston College Eagles hockey program picked up another commitment on Tuesday, landing '96 forward Alex Tuch. Tuch is currently projected to join the program for the 2014-15 season.
Tuch spent last season with the Empire Junior Hockey League's Syracuse Stars Jr. B team, scoring 44 goals and 57 assists in 40 regular season games. The 6-foot-2, 219 pound forward lead the EmJHL in power-play percentage, with Tuch leading the way.
"We basically put him out on the point," Syracuse coach Scott Montagna said. "We run an overload and he pretty much quarterbacks it from out top.
"He can shoot the puck. He can get it through to the net and score with a slapper, but he also really reads the ice well."
Alex is the first commit currently projected for the 2014-15 class. For a complete list of BC hockey's commitments, check out College Hockey Inc.'s College Commitments page.
Welcome to the Heights, Alex!
